Education activities at the Amalienborg Museum

We offer engaging educational visits to the Amalienborg Museum

School groups from abroad are welcome to visit the Amalienborg Museum, with or without a guide. Teachers are required to book a visit using the booking form.

Note: we also offer a wider range of education activities in Danish that present Danish history from a royal perspective. Please visit the Danish version of this webpage for more information.

Would you like to do a school visit without a guide?

School groups are welcome to visit the Amalienborg Museum without a tour guide.

Practical information

Here you can find practical information about luggage, packed lunches and so forth.

The Amalienborg Museum is housed in Christian VIII's Palace on Amalienborg Palace Square in Copenhagen. The entrance is at the gate closest to Frederiksgade. The nearest station is Østerport or Metro/Marmorkirken (the Marble Church).

You will not be able to eat a packed lunch at the Amalienborg Museum. We therefore refer you to the beautiful areas outside the museum.

Every day, the Royal Life Guard marches from their barracks at Rosenborg Castle to Amalienborg Palace for the changing of the guard at noon.
