Private guided tour

Bjørn Nørgaard's tapestries

Bring your family, colleagues or friends on a private guided tour of the Great Hall and explore this colourful representation of Danish history.

What is this activity about?

See the magnificent and colourful tapestries at Christiansborg Palace. Bjørn Nørgaard's tapestries provide a unique insight into Danish history, told through hand-woven threads.

From Gorm the Old to HM King Frederik X, the tapestries tell the story of the most important eras in our history: the transition from the Old Norse religion to Christianity, from aristocratic government to absolutism and, not least, about the Constitution that is the foundation of our democracy. The tapestries are not just a gift to HM Queen Margrethe but to everyone who wishes to experience the link between history and art.
