Let our guide walk you through Koldinghus and hear about some of the many exciting stories related to this old royal castle.

Highlights of this tour

Among other stories, you can hear about Frederik IV, who fell in love in the Knights' Hall at Koldinghus, and about Christian IV's grand parties and architectural projects during the 17th century. You will also hear the story about the 15-year-old princess, Caroline Mathilde, who came here from England to marry her cousin, the mentally ill Christian VII, and about the French Marshall, who was sent to Kolding by Napoleon.

Practical details

The tour takes about an hour.

We recommend a max group size of 25 people, but you are always welcome to contact us if you have a larger group and would like us to create a bespoke experience just for you. 

995 kroner for the guide + admission fee per person (for tours outside our normal opening hours, the fee for the guide is 1,990 kroner)
