What did kings and queens of the past talk about?

And what did it sound like when King Christian V hosted a grand celebration in the Knight’s Hall at Rosenborg Castle? Step into the royal world of the 17th century. Sound artist Christine Jeanneret and composer Martin Daske discuss the creation of The Sound of Rosenborg, the immersive sound experience they developed for Rosenborg Castle.

The Sound of Rosenborg is an immersive audio experience that invites the audience on a journey back in time to when Rosenborg Castle was a royal residence. The experience is an artistic interpretation of history. Based on extensive sound research by Christine Jeanneret from the University of Copenhagen, it offers a glimpse into the ceremonial world of the 1600s and the ideals of honor, splendor, and theatricality that defined it.

Together with composer and sound designer Martin Daske, Christine Jeanneret has created eight vivid sound scenes inspired by historical sources, experienced directly on the visitors’ own smartphones.

The artist talk is free and will take place in the Knight’s Hall at Rosenborg Castle. Please note that the talk will be held in English, and space is limited.
