How to visit the palace

The Hermitage Palace is generally only open to visitors on guided tours during the summer season.

The nearest S-train and regional train station is Klampenborg Station. From there, the palace is approximately a 45-minute walk away.

From the station, you can also take bus number 388 and get off at the Springforbivej stop, from where the palace is about a 2-minute walk.

Bags, luggage on wheels etc.

Practical information

There are limited cloakroom facilities and only room for small bags and umbrellas. Large bags, suitcases, prams, pushchairs and umbrellas are not allowed inside the palace.

Puschchairs/buggies and prams are not allowed inside the palace.

For security reasons, carry cots and sleep carriers are not allowed inside the palace – we recommend using a carrying sling.

Eating or drinking is not allowed inside the palace.

There is access to a toilet inside the palace before the tour begins.

Companion card, disabled parking etc.

Accessibility

Visitors with a companion card from Disabled People’s Organisation Denmark can bring a carer/companion free of charge. Please present the companion card when you arrive.

Please contact us well in advance of your visit.

The Hermitage Palace has many stairs and no lift. Thus, the palace is not suitable for visitors who have limited mobility or use a walking frame or wheelchair.

If you have limited mobility please contact us before booking your ticket. We recommend that you get in touch well in advance of your intended visit to the Hermitage Palace.

Throughout the palace, there are chairs where you can take a rest during your visit.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs accompanying their owner are allowed throughout the palace. To qualify, the dog must be a trained assistance dog with a vest or other accessory clearly marked ‘Assistance dog’ or similar. The dog must be kept on a leash throughout your visit.
