Play and games are no laughing matter!

Play and games used to be a serious matter at Koldinghus. It was an important part of the upbringing of royal children and young nobles who had to learn how to think strategically, read and bluff their opponents and, not least, keep a cool head under pressure. These were important skills to master at the royal court.

Today, play and games are a lot more relaxed, but they’re still full of valuable lessons. We learn to be present in the moment, think clearly and be brave.

Join us on a historical journey through the world of games and play at Koldinghus!
