Crown workshop: every day from 13 to 19 October
What should your own personal crown look like?
Do you want your crown to be decorated with small jewels and pearls, like Christian IV’s crown?
Or maybe big, colourful jewels, like V’s crown? Use your imagination and make your own personal crown in our crown workshop! Be inspired by Christian IV’s dazzling crown with pearls, diamonds and figures, or create your own design using your favourite colours and effects.
The crown of Christian IV’s dreams
Christian IV becomes king when he is just 11 years old, but he has to wait another eight years before he is officially crowned King of Denmark. In the meantime, he has plenty of time to dream about what sort of crown he wants. When he turns 19, he has a crown made of gold, decorated with pearls, diamonds and figures that say something about him and the kind of king he wants to be.
Practical details:
- You find the crown workshop in our Learning House. The workshop is open every day from Monday, 13 October, to Sunday, 19 October, from 10.00 to 16.00. Our helpful staff is ready to help you get started.
- The price is 30 kroner per crown. You pay at the workshop.
- You do not need to pay admission to the castle to take part in this activity.
- In case of illness, the workshop may be closed.
