Rooms named after the Danish kings
When you walk around the many halls and rooms here at Rosenborg Castle, it is easy to believe that the Danish kings from Christian IV to Frederik VII have lived here at the castle, but that is far from the case.
The four Danish kings, Christian IV, Frederik III, Christian V, and Frederik IV, have lived at Rosenborg Castle. The remaining Oldenburg kings have had a room named after them, in connection with the castle being converted into a museum in the mid-1800s.
